Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who has led the U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. She has earned six Olympic medals all over the world as well as being a part of two gold medal-winning World Championships teams. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's interest in the sport can be traced back to her first "mommy & me" gymnastics class she took at the age of 18 months. Aly is an inspiration when she's on the floor and off, and a fierce champion of body positivity. This was evident recently, as she has spoken out against Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began her gymnastic career very early in her age. She helped to help the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two gold medals at the London Olympics two of them in the team competition and another in individual floor exercise - as well as winning a bronze in the beam. Raisman was back at the Olympics twice in Rio in 2016. She won two silver medals. One of them was in each of the all-around floor and all-around exercises, and the other in the gymnastics women's competition. Raisman disclosed in 2017 that she was abused sexually by team doctor Larry Nassar. The following year, she filed an action with USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
